I'm sane after all, thank you...
8 years ago, I went into hospital, and had an operation. It was after the birth of my son.
The pregnancy itself was without problems, but the delivery was a nightmare. I ended up having a forceps delivery which ripped all of my stomach muscles, hence the operation to fix them. Yes it was a nightmare, I went into hospital, had the operation and was discharged the same day.
Shortly afterwards, I noticed an extreme tiredness, I felt ill all of the time. I frequented the doctors looking for answers, but there were none. Eventualy I was told that I was exhausted.
My partner was helping me and I struggled to understand my symptoms. I honestly felt as if I was going mad. What turned out to be my lifestyle, eventually turned out to be a living hell, as I found myself struggling with the slightest task.
Eventually I felt better, but after a bout of the flu a year later, I became very ill. Yes, like yourself I was diagnosed, but it was named "post viral fatigue syndrome", but it took two years for that to be diagnosed.
When will this illness be recognised as a realistic illness? I'm so glad that I came across your website. Now I know that I'm not alone.
Yes, like many, I have looked on every site possible, but to be honest, most of them seem to centre on fact. This site, well in my opinion, is an emotional & factual journey in our life.
Thank you for taking the time to help me regain some sort of level of sanity, you are a saviour.
